Observations in this Pacific Northwest garden. This morning I was distracted by the pileated woodpecker at the bird-feeder tree. Later in the afternoon, a sharp-shinned hawk came to visit. Unfortunately, they were flying low, which means low barometric pressure, which means more yucky weather. I started some seeds on the 12th, and they are already germinating. I was so excited, I nicked another piece and hope they do as well.
